Any recommendations on a furling system/sailmaker for cruising quality sails?

You may want to consider getting in touch with Bob Conkey for one of the roller furlers that uses hank on sails. It is very nifty. You will not have to get another sail and you will not lose performance. You will need either a cover or have someone put a sacrificial cloth on your old sail.

I wrote a product review comparing the Harken Roller Furler for headsails with a bolt rope that fits into a foil vs. the Bartels Roller Furler for headsails with hanks. I have sailed with both. You can find the review on the ECA website by clicking on the Library Menu option.
