ECA Yearbook in Flip Book Format

I like all available information on line. That makes the information available to me anytime any where in the world. I don’t usually have paper information in my pocket. I do have my phone in my pocket with connectivity virtually all of the time.

Hi Vic,
Like several of the others, I also only use the paper booklet. Maybe the format kind of speaks to the older generation of Ensign owners!

I want to thank everyone who provided comments on the Flipbook version of the ECA Yearbook. Based on the responses we have decided to drop the Flipbook version and post only the normal PDF.

You can download a PDF copy of the 2025 ECA Yearbook by clicking here.

I have been told that the 2026 ECA Yearbook is being sent to the printer, so you should be receiving your hard copy in the near future.

Vic,
Just a note to say that I was not aware of the Flip Book version of the Yearbook and probably would not ever need to look at it. I keep several years worth of past yearbooks at home if I need to see something from the past.

Thanks for all you do!

I only look at the mailed hard copy. It is an excellent resource that many other one design classes are jealous of.  The yearbook is one of the big reasons our class has remained strong over sp many years

Victor,

I use the paper edition of the Yearbook and not the electronic.   For me it is quicker and easier.  The electronic version with or without the flip feature is best used for archived Yearbooks.   Just my opinion.

Vic - the flip book conversion is very cool but in all honesty i have rarely accessed it - having it available as a pdf is absolutely fine for the number of times one has to access it.

Further more we get hard copies which are great for quick references.

I would suggest that unless there are screaming voices out there this conversion is a job you can leave out.

Hey Vic, Whatever works for you. The Flip book is a neat way, however, it’s just as easy to just view the PDF.

As long as the hard copy remains, a PDF seems fine to me — and perhaps easier for quick reference

As many of you may know, the ECA website includes copies the ECA Yearbook in PDF format going back to 1965. In addition, for about the past 8 years we have posted the most previous year's Yearbook as a dynamic Flip Book, where the members read can read the Yearbook on the website by "flipping" from page to page.

The current Yearbook available in Flip Book format is the 2024 version. You can click here to view that Yearbook as a Flip Book.

Creating the Flip Book version of the Yearbook requires some extra labor, plus we need to upgrade the software we use to create the Flip Book. While the upgrade cost is low, we also wonder how many members use this feature.

Please reply to this messages with your thoughts, pro or con, about his feature.
