Cam cleats on booms
Author Last Post

An Aluminum plate shaped with a half round file may do the trick for a cam cleat base.I am using a horn cleat mid boom stbd side

this can be eased in light air and brought in heavier air sailing close hauled on the jib while easing the main sheet to relieve the pressure.

Hi all,

I am looking to install a small cam cleat on the boom for an external outhaul system. Given the cam cleats are flat but the boom is obviously round, what is the correct way to install these? Is there an adapter I’m not seeing online?

All help is much appreciated, thank you!
