I find my liqiud bar keepers friend at Menards, Walmart likely has it or Home Depot

Hi Bud,

Thanks for the additional suggestions. Our hardware store only sells the BKF in powder form. I'll keep my eyes open for the soft scrub form. That sounds easier ;-)

Looking good, Samantha!

Nice work!

Barkeeper's Friend has oxalic acid in it, which does a GREAT job in removing tannin stains from the hull and paint. It comes in a 'soft scrub' form, a thick liquid that is effective in a 'wipe on, rinse off, ' effort for this. The cleansing is chemical. No scrubbing necessary.

For tasks that require elbow grease, BK comes in a gritty powder canister, like Ajax or Comet.

Vinegar soaking works great on metal too, but don't soak more than 24 hours. I've restored many a rusty tool this way...

Been having great success cleaning up the stainless steel with Bar Keeper’s Friend. Our boat had some oxidized cars and they are looking much, much better. Not sure these had ever been attended to. BKF, pointed qtips and elbow grease for the win!
