I'm a new Ensign owner recently upgrading from a cat22. I live on a lake and kept my cat22 on a boat lift which was great for cleaning and avoiding wear/tear of getting bumped around from chop on the lake, ease of getting on the water quickly etc. The cat 22 was a swing keel and worked great on the lift.
I measured and adjusted the lift prior to getting the Ensign and the lift is working fairly well, photo attached. It sits above the cross members when completely raised. The boat does temporarily rest on the cross members when raising or lowering but very quickly floats as the boat enters the water. The lift is made by a Basta Boatlifts (local company) and has capacity up to 6000 lbs so no issues on supporting the boat. I'm talking to them about some modifications to the lift (like sliders/rollers on the cross members, a couple more inches of clearance etc). I was wondering if anyone has any experience or advise on this scenario. Like I said, things are working fairly well now but I'm always open to learning through what others have done.
