Starbright teak oil
William Westland
Hi again Ensign sailors, I've researched my Ensign (and Ensign Classic built in 2005 and based on the Ensign Spars Boat Shop I received good advice to try Starbright teak oil) instead of going ahead and sealing the wood.  I found Starbright teak oil in the West Marine near me.

Thanks

The original wood on that boat was a Teak Soul and American Mahogany on the seats, Coaming and trim.

Houstoun Waring

I am undertaking the refinishing of the wood on my boat this long weekend, using Awlwood MA on the benches, trim, cabin doors, coaming boards, etc. My initial thought for the soul was naturally teak oil. Does anyone have experience with Starbrite's 2 part Teak Nu stuff vs their premium teak oil? I've never come across the Teak Nu product until I started googling teak oils.

Many thanks,

Houstoun

No but with the Starbrite teak restorer and its great. I used to mixe 50/50 with teak oil. Keep your boat covered and it will last 5 to 8 years.

I just used the Starbrite Teak Sealer. It was super easy to apply and I was really happy with the results! Could not be more satisfied. You can see the before and after.
